01Why we built this
The Act is here. Most teams aren't ready.
The EU AI Act entered into force in August 2024, with phased enforcement through 2027. It imposes real obligations on anyone deploying AI systems in the EU — risk classification, technical documentation, incident reporting, human oversight.
Most teams we speak to know the Act exists but don't have a structured way to track their obligations. Spreadsheets break, documents get lost, and nobody can produce a clean audit trail when a regulator asks.
Treda exists to solve that problem: structured, continuous compliance logging designed specifically for Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Not a generic GRC platform with an AI Act checkbox.

Treda is built by a solo founder focused specifically on EU AI Act compliance tooling. No VC backing, no enterprise sales team — just deep engagement with the regulation and a commitment to building what teams actually need.
We practice what we automate. This product uses the same structured-logging principles it teaches: every action is recorded, every change is tracked, and the audit trail is always available.
We're small. That means fast iteration, direct access to the builder, and pricing that reflects where we are — not inflated enterprise rates to feed a sales team.
Article 99 · Penalties
Non-compliance costs up to €35M or 7% of global turnover.
These are the maximum penalties under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 for prohibited AI practices. Even lower-tier violations carry substantial fines. Structured compliance logging is the baseline defence.
